Committees and Task Groups

The Council may establish topical committees or task groups as required to achieve their strategic planning goals. These committees/task groups play a major role in helping to realize the Council’s mission. Committee/task group membership will include appointed Council members, and may also include non-Council members. These ad-hoc committee members are welcomed at ICC Meetings; however, they have no voting rights at meetings.

Committees/task groups have an opportunity to meet face to face during the regular meeting days and often work via technology between those face to face meetings.

Committees/task groups are chaired and/or co-chaired by a parent and an appointed Council member. Council members are expected to participate on at least one committee/task group.

Executive

This group works with the Executive Director of the Council as a discussion board, problem- solving and planning group between ICC Meetings.

Membership

This group discusses the membership needs of the Council. Bylaws require this activity bi-annually or as needed.

Task Groups

Task groups are created as needed to address specific topics as they arise.

Documentation and Publications

This group will be developing and review ICC publications, as well as documents presented by the WV Birth to Three state office for input.

 Communication and Outreach 

This group will be developing a plan for effectively engaging stakeholder groups regarding activities of the ICC and the WV Birth to Three system.
